EIS Administrator | Borumba Project

What does this role do?

The EIS Administrator supports the KKPAC EIS Team to deliver our obligations in making sure Kabi Kabi people are informed. Reporting to the EIS Coordinator, this role will:

  • Assist with coordination of EIS Working Groups

  • Support EIS Working Group members

  • Provide administrative and reporting support to KKPAC

  • Track schedules and documentation

  • Support on-ground logistics and communication

This is a heavy administrative based position that will work out of the KKPAC office in Maroochydore.  This opportunity is great for someone who is organised, proactive and wants to work closely on a major project planned to take place on a precious part of our country.

Cultural Heritage Team Leader | TMR

What does this role do?

KKPAC has several teams delivering cultural heritage services across multiple TMR projects.  The Team Leader will support those teams to ensure they are delivering high levels of monitoring, liaise with TMR site operations and report progress to KKPAC operations. This role will:

  • Supervise and support KKPAC Cultural Heritage field teams

  • Ensure work is delivered safely and professionally

  • Liaise with site management teams

  • Collate and report onsite outcomes including finds, observations, timesheets, performance and any issues

  • Ensure cultural protocols and legislative requirements are upheld

  • Keep projects running smoothly and on schedule

This is a leadership role suited to someone with strong on-country cultural heritage experience and the ability to lead teams and engage effectively with KKPAC and onsite TMR processes.

Kabi Kabi Rangers

What does this role do?

  • Kabi Kabi Rangers care for and protect Kabi Kabi Country.

  • This role involves on-country work to maintain cultural sites, protect and improve the environmental health of our estate. 

  • Rangers work as part of a growing team delivering land, water and cultural management activities across Kabi Kabi Country.

 

We are seeking Rangers across the whole skill spectrum including:

  • Senior Rangers

  • Rangers with experience

  • New rangers with little/no experience

Priority will be given to:

  • Kabi Kabi Members

  • Kabi Kabi women

Fieldwork Officers

KKPAC is calling for Expressions of Interest from members and community who want to take part in Cultural Heritage work as a Fieldwork Officer. 

Depending on your skills and experience, you may be involved in:

  • Cultural Heritage Monitoring – visiting sites, helping to identify and record artefacts, trees, or landscape features, and supporting our Cultural Heritage Officers

  • Cultural Heritage Officer work – leading assessments, recording and advising on cultural heritage, mentoring junior team members and working with landowners, archaeologists, and agencies

  • Burn Crew – helping with cultural and ecological burns, learning fire practices, preparing sites, and keeping safety front of mind


These are casual positions and work is dependent on project demand.  There will also be opportunities to learn and gain the skills you need to succeed in these roles.

Management Trainees

If you think you have what it takes to grow into a leadership role within KKPAC, we want to hear from you. 

Management Trainees work alongside the senior team to gain hands-on experience across different areas to understand how to manage the Corporation.

 

Training includes operations, governance, our Rangers, finance, compliance, project delivery and team leadership. These roles are designed to build the next generation of strong Kabi Kabi leaders who are trained in managing the Corporation from the ground up.

A Native Title Corporation has many moving parts and involves strong compliance and leadership skills. KKPAC is looking for motivated people who have skills and experience that are ready to step up and take on responsibility to manage the Corporation to the highest standards.
